About the event

Calling all curious kids, animal lovers, and grown-ups who still secretly wish they lived on a farm, you’re invited to our 2025 Farm Day!

This isn’t just any day in the country. It’s a full-on, hands-on, moo-filled experience where kids can milk a real cow, meet all our farm animals up close, and learn where their food truly comes from (spoiler: it’s not aisle 6 at the grocery store).

We’ll have fun and educational stations set up around the farm where you can learn about each species we care for—from the fluffiest chickens to the sassiest pigs. Plus, we’ll have face painting, activity tables, and plenty of photo ops with your favorite barnyard buddies.

Right next door is a great little park, and behind our pastures is a frog pond perfect for nature-loving explorers. So bring a picnic, stay a while, and enjoy a wholesome day out in the fresh…

Bourbon Red Turkeys

If you've visited our farm, you've probably spotted our beautiful Bourbon Red turkeys strutting around the pasture. Known for their striking deep-red feathers and calm personalities, Bourbon Reds are a heritage breed we are proud to raise.

We chose this breed not only for their beauty but also for their historical significance and exceptional flavor. Bourbon Reds were first developed in Kentucky in the late 1800s and are prized for their rich, tender meat far superior to what you'll find in a grocery store bird. Because they are a heritage breed, our turkeys grow at a natural pace, developing strong, healthy bodies with excellent flavor and texture.

Our Bourbon Reds are free-ranged, allowing them to forage on pasture, which contributes to their overall well-being and the nutrient density of their meat. They thrive on a diverse diet of grass, insects, and supplemental grains, and they are never given antibiotics or growth hormones.

We believe in stewarding these birds with care and respect, preserving a breed that was once nearly lost to history. When you purchase a Bourbon Red from our farm, you're not only getting a high-quality product you’re supporting sustainable, small-scale agriculture and helping to preserve a piece of American farming heritage.
